Global Atlantic offers a highly competitive and enriching summer internship experience. Our internship program starts on Monday, June 3rd and concludes on Friday, August 9th. This is a 10-week program. Our internship program is hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days remotely) and front office positions in NY are 4 days in the office.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Enterprise Information Management Office (EIMO) is a core functional area within Global Atlantic Technology that focuses on the below objectives:

  • Provide an integrated environment that provides access to structured, semi-structured and unstructured data and, supports search and reporting as well as advanced analytical capabilities
  • Provide the foundation for continued growth and the realization of enterprise-wide initiatives like digital strategy
  • Proactively manage and monitor the quality of our data
  • Strengthen security and audit practices

The Enterprise Data Hub (EDH) project will iteratively build out a comprehensive integrated Enterprise Data Zone for all functional areas of the organization using Hadoop based technologies. EIMO is establishing the strategy and toolsets for prescriptive and predictive analytics through visualization and machine learning.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Analyze the business requirements
  • Design implementation solution from business requirements
  • Develop or build solution with the help of Java, SQL and Hadoop Technologies
  • Test the build products – Unit and Integration Testing
  • Participate in troubleshooting and fixing issues in functional testing, UAT Testing phases.
  • Participate in business and technology discussion for requirement gathering, analysis, prototype build, design reviews, testing
  • Deploy and Support the product solution in Hadoop environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good programming skills – Java, Hadoop technologies
  • Good exposure to the SQL
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to ramp up quickly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility
  • Ability to work in a very fast paced environment
  • Strong academic record in pursuit of a four-year degree to a related field; focusing on students graduating December 2024 or May 2025
