Job Description
The Director, PX Sales is responsible for managing a team of individual contributors selling Gainsight PX solutions to prospective customers. Using a consultative sales approach, the successful candidate and their team will create and cultivate relationships to build and maintain customers for life. The Director of Sales, PX will work with all Gainsight stakeholders including Account Executives, Solutions Consultants, Customer Success Managers, Professional Services, Product Support and Product Management to anticipate and meet customer expectations.
What You'll Do
Sales Management Process
- Drive growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing a team of Account Executives.
- Design and implement a sales plan that expands the company’s current customer base and ensures strong presence in the market.
- Manage recruiting process for new reps.
- Prepare and report weekly forecast details to leadership
- Work with reps to set standards and manage to KPIs
- Provide overall coaching, support on deal progression & objection handling.
- Review and help team with quoting & booking processes (includes support preparing proposals, pricing & quoting, aligning with Revenue Operations team on contracts, and gathering paperwork to process orders).
Product and Market Knowledge
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the Gainsight product and services offered.
- Gain an understanding of Gainsight’s use in the industry, as well as best practices.
- Be a subject matter expert for your designated industry and territory.
- Work with Sales Development Org to define and support prospecting efforts within assigned territory.
- Provide feedback (customer/prospect needs, industry trends, market perceptions, competitive intelligence, etc.) to company management, Marketing and Product Management teams
Required skills
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 7 years B2B outbound sales experience required (SaaS sales preferred)
- Ideal candidate will have 2+ years of sales management experience (SaaS and Services)
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Proven track record of building teams, building relationships with clients, sourcing, selling and executing strategy projects and/ or meeting sales quotas
- Comfort and expertise calling on and presenting to C-Suite level contacts, six figure deal sizes and 3-6 month sales cycle
- Experience in technology industry
- Highly competitive, entrepreneurial and self-driven
- A hunter’s mentality and ability to drive prospecting and pipeline development strategy and plan.
- Operationally oriented - ability to be accountable for & drive team towards key performance metrics
