Job Description

The Solutions Consultant (SC) will be the primary technical resource for the sales force and will work closely with the Gainsight PX technical team.  The Solutions Consultant will be responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the Sales team, as well as acting as the key technical advisor and product advocate.  The SC will be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users, and must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the Sales process.

 

What You'll Do

A successful Solutions Consultant will be able to:  

  • Represent Gainsight PX in a highly professional manner;
  • Demonstrate excellent phone and in person presence;
  • Operate relatively independently, but in in a team environment.
  • Be able to work with different Sales people and their different personalities
  • Demonstrate a natural curiosity and desire to dig to understand the pain, at at technical level;
  • Exhibit business process knowledge in the product management and user experience space that allows them to link customer pains/opportunities/needs to Gainsight PX benefits;
  • Position Gainsight's PX advantages against perceived alternatives and competing offerings;
  • Develop and deliver of product demonstrations
  • Help a rep with value demo sales stage, and drive scoped trial sales stage
  • Work closely Gainsight PX leadership
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
  • Convey customer requirements to Product Management teams
  • Travel to prospects and customers as required

Product and Market Knowledge

  • Learn and understand how to discuss a “product led” growth strategy
  • Position Gainsight's PX advantages against perceived alternatives and competing offerings;
  • Understand customer growth goals, strategies & initiatives, and establish Gainsight PX as a best in class product experience solution 
  • Represent the product at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
  • Proactively, and regularly, participate in events, meetups, and other get togethers that include participants that match our ICP and target personas.

 

Required Skills

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years relevant experience in software/SaaS
  • Experience and familiarity selling into Product or Engineering or Customer Success is a plus
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and tools in the product management space such as Amplitude, Walkme, MixPanel, Google Analytics, Segment, etc is preferred.  Expertise with Salesforce.com and other CRMs, Marketo and other Marketing Automation systems is also helpful
  • Computer Science or related degree is preferred
