POSITION SUMMARY:
The Regional Sales Director will lead and oversee the development and growth of profitable new business and to develop and maintain effective key client relationships in our Preneed business. This position will be responsible for all aspects of managing current account organic growth and the overall relationship management with client partners. This position will ensure business growth through directing and managing agent set up, training and program development activities to ensure these are delivered in accordance with the organizational strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and lead the sales support functions in sourcing, managing and implementing new business opportunities with an emphasis on prospecting.
- Develop, review, and report on the regional sales strategy, ensuring the strategic objectives are well understood and executed to source, manage and implement new business opportunities.
- Develop area business plan in conjunction with DVP, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year on meeting or exceeding sales quota.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales prospecting including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and other activities within your assigned territory.
- Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of Client Satisfaction.
- Builds and maintains strong internal relationships with management, sales administration, marketing, and compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree, and/or five (5) years of related experience.
- Demonstrated success in developing and managing a sales territory.
- A determination to win and close business with a strong disposition to prospecting.
- Accomplished in all sales skills including prospecting, closing, planning, and presentations.
- Preneed industry knowledge preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Salesforce.
- Good project and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively.
- Required travel of 6- 12 nights per month, depending on where person resides.
- Must reside in the West Coast territory.
Compensation: This role has a base salary and VIC bonus component. First year total compensation target of $190,000
