For consumers, we make it easy to find the right furniture by enhancing search and streamlining the end-to-end customer experience. For retail partners, we deliver a digital platform allowing them to expand their reach with a high-intent, high value furniture audience.

We come from a variety of walks of life and can be found either in Atlanta or in NYC. We are backed by the investment arm of one of America’s largest furniture retailers, although we are independent and proudly building technology in service of the furniture industry and furniture shoppers. 

About the Role

We are looking for a Sr. Frontend Engineer who will shape and implement strategic products to ensure the company stays on the leading edge of technology and delivering solutions for consumers and partners. You will contribute across the technology stack with a focus on furniture.com consumer facing assets. The role will play an instrumental role developing features on the website and mobile apps. You are a dynamic team player, creative thinker who has fun tackling complex problems at scale, and a strong relationship builder who thrives in an agile environment.


Responsibilities  

  • Develop a highly available and resilient presentation layer for furniture.com and mobile apps 
    (Android, iOS)
  • Use agile engineering practices and modern technologies to rapidly build a rich set of UI features
  • Deliver high-quality, scalable code in a multidisciplinary team working on multiple initiatives.
  • Constantly evaluate new and emerging frontend techniques to help efficiently build a rich set of features.
  • Liaison with the Design and Product teams to review Figma mockups, wireframes and provide guidance on level of effort and technical design.
  • Adhere to standards for engineering, testing, and operational excellence to drive best practices across the organization.


Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience as a frontend engineer with a track record of developing scalable 
    websites using React/TypeScript.
  • Mastery of web development and a strong understanding of Server-Side Rendering (SSR) 
  • Rock-solid understanding of the core JavaScript language, and writing accessible and semantic SEO-friendly HTML/JS
  • Experience with one or more SSR technologies like Gatsby or Next.js
  • Experience with a commercial grade Content Management System (CMS) is highly desired. We use Builder.io.
  • Expert understanding of CSS and animation concepts along with knowledge of frameworks like Tailwind, Bootstrap etc. is essential.
  • Mobile app development experience with React Native is a strong plus.
  • Google Tag Manager experience is a strong plus.
  • Ecommerce background preferred.
