For consumers, we make it easy to find the right furniture by enhancing search and streamlining the end-to-end customer experience. For retail partners, we deliver a digital platform allowing them to expand their reach with a high-intent, high value furniture audience. 

Furniture.com is growing fast. Our team is comprised of furniture experts (obviously) as well as world class technologists and brand builders. We come from a variety of walks of life and can be found either in Atlanta or in NYC. We are backed by the investment arm of one of America’s largest furniture retailers, although we are independent and proudly building a technology in service of the furniture industry and furniture shoppers. 

Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Product Manager to lead the conceptualization, development, and optimization of our data pipelines and machine learning projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical specifications and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Data Scientists, Engineers, and Business Analysts, to drive the product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Leadership:
    • Define product vision, goals, and requirements for data pipeline and machine learning projects.
    • Develop product roadmaps and ensure timely delivery of high-quality features.
    • Lead cross-functional teams to execute on product plans and to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Technical Management:
    • Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to develop and optimize scalable data pipelines.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of machine learning models to solve business problems.
    • Work with the engineering team to ensure the successful deployment of machine learning models.
  • Customer Insight & Analysis:
    • Work closely with analytics and research teams to gather insights and understand user needs and market demands.
    • Drive the collection and analysis of user feedback and performance data to inform product enhancements and innovations.
    • Prioritize features and enhancements based on impact and business value.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on product development.
    • Communicate product status, key issues, and launch plans to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
    • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support teams to ensure successful product launches and adoptions.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, with a focus on data pipeline and machine learning projects.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and discuss architectural concepts, trade-offs, and new opportunities with technical team members.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and machine learning concepts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize amongst competing opportunities, balancing user needs with business priorities and the ability to articulate the rationale behind decisions.
