In this role, you’ll be a strategic partner to our product, engineering, customer success, marketing and other teams across the company. You’ll own FullStory’s Privacy Program to oversee data compliance and data ethics throughout the organization. You’ll also help us design products that influence better data practices throughout the industry. This role is remote and will report directly to FullStory’s General Counsel. 

In this role you will:

  • Lead the development, management, and implementation of FullStory’s privacy and data ethics strategy across the organization.
  • Counsel the product, marketing, engineering, and customer success teams on privacy considerations for new products, features, and mitigation programs.
  • Be the go-to point of contact for external conversations around privacy, including conversations with current customers, in-flight prospects, and press. 
  • Monitor and advise on emerging domestic and international privacy laws, and advise the business on potential impacts.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate Data Processing Agreements with FullStory’s vendors and customers and manage the full privacy review process for new FullStory vendors.
  • Creatively drive awareness around privacy and data security issues, including developing and delivering training.

You have:

  • 5+ years of experience practicing law in technology with a focus on Data Privacy.
  • Impeccable legal and business judgment and can quickly risk-assess and prioritize.
  • Deep experience with global privacy regulations, including CCPA and GDPR.
  • Excellent presence and proven ability to influence.
  • A bias for change and getting things done. 
  • In-house experience preferred.
  • CIPP certified, or willing to become certified within 6 months
  • Have a JD, an active bar membership, and a strong academic record.
