As we continue to Synthesize the Circular Revolution here at Full Cycle, we are looking for an Associate Analytical Chemist to join our Full Cycle Family! You would focus on bringing operational excellence to our lab and using data as the backbone for all decision making. You will:
- Perform routine analyses by following SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Generate reports
- Make suggestions for process improvements
- Measure and track the quality and consistency of the analytical equipment
- Maintain analytical equipment functionality and perform minor upkeep tasks
- Perform regular inventory of all consumables
- Work with other team members
Would Like:
- Bachelors in chemistry or equivalent field, with 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Strong and creative problem-solving skills, including identifying improvements to lab and machine efficiencies
- Strong organizational skills, including an ability to prioritize activities and work with limited supervision
- Ability to make good decisions using sound, professional judgment
- Excellent communication skills in both technical and non-technical environments
- Additional fields of experience (biochem, materials science)
- Knowledge of laboratory environmental and safety requirements
Must Have:
- Must be able to effectively operate in an evolving complex and dynamic environment
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Must have experience and familiarity with using Google Suite (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Sheets, and Google Docs specifically)
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment with attention to detail and organization
- Must be able to follow verbal and written directions
- Must have experience operating and troubleshooting equipment ( including GC, GPC, HPLC, DSC and TGA)
The interview process will consist of three parts prior to an offer being submitted:
- An introductory call with our Lead Talent Partner
- Video call with the Hiring Manager
- Finalized with an in-person interview (or virtual, if not local to the area). The interview will consist of a tour of the office and lab, panel interview with other members of the team, and a 15-minute presentation that the candidate will prepare to present on any of the analytical tools or a topic of interest they might have regarding the world of analytical chemistry.
This is a full-time, salaried, benefit-eligible position that is fully onsite at our Nicholson location in San Jose, California.
