Extraction is the key to our company succeeding and we're looking for a Manager of R&D (Chemistry and Analytics) to manage the logistical, training and research developments for our ever evolving novel PHA work!
Reporting to the Director, R&D, you'll be an integral part of evolving our extraction process as we progress into full production sized facilities.
On the day to day you'll;
Manage and develop the department’s resources with the goal of meeting or exceeding all deadlines and expectations
Accurately maintain R&D project records, proactively providing status reports as required
Collaborate with Operations to achieve project objectives
Approve Labels to ensure compliance with regulations
Review and sign-off specifications
Identifies and advances quality and process improvement opportunities
Keep current with changes in technologies and regulation for the countries where we do business
Lead and mentor direct reports while providing developmental opportunities when available
We'd like to see your background show:
Experience with solvent extraction Technologies
5 years experience in research
Bachelor’s degree with major in Biochemical engineering, Biological engineering, biochemistry or related discipline
Experience in scaling up and scaling down extraction processes with a variety of solvents / methods
Knowledge of laboratory environmental and safety requirements
Prior experience managing research projects and supervising staff
