Full Cycle Bioplastics is on a mission to create a cleaner, more sustainable future. At the moment, we are small but mighty. Our tech helps solve the plastic pollution crisis by transforming waste into compostable materials. We’re scaling our solution to significantly decrease plastic waste and greenhouse gas emissions.
We are looking to add an experienced analytical chemist who can manage Full Cycle’s analytical lab. You would focus on bringing operational excellence to our lab, using data as the backbone for all decision making. If you have a passion for data-driven problem solving, we would love to speak to you about this position.
On any given day you would:
Perform or arrange the calendar and maintenance for all equipment
Develop methods for new analytes
Define and ensure analytical standards
Develop training materials and SOPs for all instruments
Maintain calibration records as easily accessible to all technology units
Troubleshoot equipment failures
Upgrade or commission new analytical instruments
Your experience could include:
Bachelors in chemistry or equivalent field, with 5 years relevant experience
Masters in chemistry or equivalent field, with 3 years relevant experience
Experience with the following instruments:
HPLC
GPC
DSC
TOC analyzer
GC-FID
FTIR
Tensile Tester
Strong and creative problem solving skills, including identifying improvements to lab and machine efficiencies
Strong organizational skills, including an ability to prioritize activities and work with limited supervision
Ability to make good decisions using sound, professional judgment
Excellent communication skills in both technical and non-technical environments
Additional fields of experience (biochem, materials science)
