Fulfil is hiring a Deployment Technician to join us at a fast-paced startup in a multi-disciplinary engineering team. In this role you will be responsible for assembly and maintenance of Fulfil’s automation machinery throughout the lifecycle of each machine--from initial build to maintenance and repair. The Deployment Technician works closely with the Mechanical Design, Systems, and New Product Integration groups to define procedural requirements and deliver timely, quality results.
In This Role You Will
- Build and assemble automation equipment for deployment centers according to engineering specifications, drawings, and work instructions
- Build test fixtures and jigs required for tool assembly processes
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing automation systems to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance
- Work closely with engineers and other technicians to support project timelines and objectives
- Document assembly processes, maintenance activities, and any modifications made to equipment
- Impact the company’s overall performance by contributing to a positive work culture, encouraging good build practices, and helping to create and improve robust engineering workflows and processes
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience working with automation equipment (industrial capital equipment preferred) or similar electro-mechanical assembly
- Excited to travel - must be based in, or willing to relocate to Charlotte, NC, and be willing to travel, or relocate to subsequent build locations, as needed
- Working knowledge of automation components (motors, belts, pulleys, sheet metal assemblies, hardware)
- Experience with standard wiring components (reading wiring diagrams, stripping & terminating wires, etc)
- Experience with standard hand tools (socket & box wrenches, hand drills & impact drivers, allen keys, files & deburring tools)
- Experience with standard machine shop tools & tool safety (belt sanders, band saws, bench grinders, drill presses)
- Familiarity with industrial-scale tools a plus (mill, lathe)
What We’d Love To See
- 2+ years of relevant professional work experience
- Prior experience working in a start-up environment.
- Experience with robotics, motors and other electromechanical components

- The salary range for this position is $25-28/hour plus stock and benefits. Pay within the range is based on candidate experience, job-specific skills, education, and work location.
