Your Responsibilities

As a CAD Designer and Administrator, you will be part of the design team working on Fulfil’s proprietary technology and take responsibility for component and assembly design and drafting, Solidworks CAD and PDM administration, and Arena integration.  You will help cultivate, manage and oversee processes to ensure design work is clean, detailed and well documented and design intentions are achieved and maintained through generational changes. You will have the opportunity to develop new workflow processes, create and integrate custom rules through the design release process and work on automating the engineering process flow. You will be integral in developing and maintaining good practices for the connection between Solidworks PDM and Arena PLM. This role offers the opportunity to work closely on a complex multi-robot system with a cross-functional engineering team ranging from R&D Hardware Design, Systems, Process and Operations.

In this role you will:

  • Design components and perform detailed design work on large, complex systems
  • Create detailed component and assembly drawings using GD&T and evaluate assembly tolerance stack-ups
  • Lead 3D CAD and BOM generation
  • Generate engineering documentation for automation systems
  • Develop and manage robust PDM workflows
  • Create custom Macros for Solidwork files in PDM workflows
  • Lead the integration between PDM and PLM
  • Create best practices and good hygiene for interfacing with PLM

What We’re Looking For

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical drafting, or similar
  • Attention to detail and dedication to thoroughness
  • Expertise in documenting machined, sheet metal, cast, molded parts and assemblies
  • Expert in CAD, specifically Solidworks
  • Experience in DFM and DFA
  • Experience with Solidworks PDM
  • Experience with PLM systems
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Desire to work in a startup environment
  • Cares about the world and wants to have an impact on it

  • The salary range for this position is $105,000-$150,000 plus stock and benefits. Pay within the range is based on candidate experience and relevant skills.
