About the Role:

The Senior Manager, Communications will have ownership of the PR function in support of the ad sales business. This role will work closely with our ad sales team to develop positioning and messaging. They will tell our ad sales story to the trade and business media, and industry as a whole, helping our team reach brand partners and support revenue goals.

Additionally, this role will be a key member of the company's broader corporate communications team working cross-functionally across the business. This will include overseeing our external PR agency who manages consumer PR campaigns for our Fubo Sports Network. This role will also oversee thought leadership, including speaking opportunities and bylines, as well as awards submissions for the company's executives and initiatives.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a PR professional to work across a mix of trade, business and consumer PR campaigns for a fast-growing company that sits at the intersection of live TV, sports and technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of PR strategies in support of fuboTV's growing ad sales business
  • Oversee external consumer PR agency in support of Fubo Sports Network
  • Develop marketing communications including press releases, bylines, executive talking points, profiles, executive bios, media pitches
  • Manage conference appearances for senior leadership team (excluding CEO) including expanding and maintaining conference calendar, pitching proactive opportunities, vetting inbound speaker requests, coordinating all booking logistics and providing executive talking points ahead of each event
  • Seek new platforms and venues for executives to communicate the company's narrative
  • Develop, pitch and place executive bylines / opinion pieces in targeted media outletsManage all awards submissions including nominating executives (excluding CEO) for industry power lists and pitching our corporate initiatives, original content, product releases, etc. for recognition
  • Maintain existing media relationships and develop new contacts

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record placing positive media coverage and securing thought leadership opportunities
  • Strong media relationships with ad trade and business press preferably on the media/streaming, TV and/or programmatic beats; Media relationships across consumer media a strong plus
  • Excellent writing and editing skills (writing samples required)
  • Ability to work independently and own specific functions while also being a team player within the communications dept and the broader company
  • Ability to perform and thrive in high pressure situations, shifting priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Attention to detail and the highest standards for discretion, accuracy and precision
  • Knowledge of ad-supported businesses with interest in participating  in broader company communications 
  • Preferred in-house or agency experience with a media or streaming video company
  • Experience with PR practices for public companies a plus
  • 5-7 years in similar communications role with at least 3 years supporting an ad sales function
