Who we are looking for:

At fuboTV, we're excited to create a dedicated team focused on building a fuboTV Design System from the ground up. With our app on more than a dozen device platforms, there's a unique opportunity in creating a design system offering that's holistic, intelligible, consistent, and of high standards; solutions that empower product teams to focus on solving bigger, more complex user-problems.

We're seeking experienced designers to help deliver on this mission — ones that have built or contributed to a design system, preferably cross-platform. As a designer on the team, you would audit and define our system, and then create, document, and iterate on it. The right person for the role is one who's highly collaborative, with the ability to work well across disciplines to understand needs, requests, and constraints across multiple dimensions.

An obsessive focus on detail, organization, best practices, and accessibility will be paramount in your work. To ensure the design system is implemented and used correctly, you'll be articulating decisions, providing guidance, assisting experience designers in utilizing the system, and supporting engineers that are building it.

Beyond core system responsibilities, we’re looking for designers excited about all the ways in which our team can help improve the quality and cohesion of design solutions at fuboTV.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to all aspects of creating and communicating our Design System, which includes component and pattern libraries with corresponding usage guidance.
  • Consult with product team designers to ensure proper and effective use of the Design System.
  • Partner with platform engineers to understand technical constraints, requirements and platform norms in order to ensure components are implemented and working as designed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and expand the system by understanding the ongoing needs of product and engineering teams through collaboration.
  • Advocate for design, usability, and accessibility best practices as well as collaborate with research and product teams to conduct usability studies and A/B tests.
  • Be proactive in helping the Design System team operate smoothly, efficiently, and effectively; e.g. suggesting ways in which we can adapt and improve our process.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant design experience, with at least 1 year working on design systems.
  • Experience in building or contributing to a Design System; e.g. designing and/or documenting components and patterns.
  • Skilled in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Framer, Principle, etc.
  • Attention to detail — whether in execution of design solutions, or organization and maintenance of files and component libraries.
  • Passionate about collaboration, especially across disciplines.
  • Well-versed in all forms of communication; able to articulate decisions, provide insightful guidance, and write clear and inviting documentation.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations, and to be proactive in identifying and solving issues.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience creating a Design System from the ground up.
  • Experience with a multi-platform Design System.
  • Intimate knowledge and experience with Web, Mobile, and/or TV interface guidelines.
  • Experience building and maintaining component libraries in Figma and Storybook.
  • Understanding of how design is implemented in code and ability to “speak the same language” as engineers.

Perks & Benefits:

  • fuboTV provides a highly competitive compensation based on experience and market standards.
  • Robust benefit package including Health/Dental/Vision coverage sponsored up to 100% for employees, 401k, Life Insurance, and commuter benefits
  • Free Premium fuboTV Account
  • Health and Wellness initiatives including discounts on Gym Memberships.
  • Unlimited PTO days and regular company-wide activities.
  • fuboTV's main Headquarters are located in Midtown Manhattan.
  • Remote-friendly environment
  • fuboTV is an e-verified company
