About The Role:

The Vice President Business Analytics will work closely with technology, operations, product, content, marketing and finance, to provide customer insights and analytics to facilitate the success of the organization. A successful candidate for this unique role will possess exceptional expertise in a wide-array of analytical systems, tools and methods to provide current and historical views of business operations and monitor metrics as they pertain to: customers, content, advertising, communications’ effectiveness, customer segmentation, acquisition and retention analytics as well as media effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies and approaches to analyzing large data sources using analytical tools to develop analytic models, drillable dashboards, and the conduction of ad-hoc analyses.
  • Lead a team of analysts charged with evaluating trends, modeling behavior, and forecasting business outcomes and customer behaviors.
  • Provide leadership and direction to direct reports and team members. Engage team to positively support organizational goals and objectives. Provide vision, goal development, and accountability.
  • Manage and effect change through continual feedback and coaching.
  • Responsible for strategically advancing corporate data analytic systems and developing new tools to allow the company to advance.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lead and direct highly skilled analysts, prioritize projects, and drive business results.
  • Excellent database skills utilizing large data sets.  Extensive experience with SQL is a must.
  • Must be highly proficient with dashboarding tools (experience with Tableau preferred.)
  • Experience with data mining and business intelligence tools.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple way with advanced presentation capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, innovative organization.
  • Strong familiarity with site tracking tools such as Google or Adobe analytics.  (Experience with Amplitude a plus.)

Other key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, math/statistics required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience within the business analytics field including 5 years of experience in a progressive leadership role, including managing analysts.
