About the Role:

Fubo Gaming is looking for talented DevOps Engineer to join the team in Chicago.  As a DevOps Engineer, you will administer platforms that enable our development team, provide observability to KPIs and platform health, streamline the software delivery processes, and more.  We are looking for engineers that are self-starters who enjoy seeking out and eliminating roadblocks, inefficiencies, and toil. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and administering software delivery toolchain and infrastructure in a regulated environment
  • Understanding the needs of stakeholders and coordinating infrastructure deployment with developers
  • Continuously improve development and release processes through simplification and automation
  • Administer observability platform, ensuring complete coverage of KPI and application performance monitoring.
  • Ensure platforms and applications are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
  • Identifying, troubleshooting, and remediating technical problems with supported platforms
  • Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
  • Planning out infrastructure projects and being involved in project management decisions
  • Work alongside the Development team to ensure projects run smoothly.
  • Document run-books, best practices, organizational standards, FAQs, and other documentation for supported platforms
  • Architect, design, develop, test, maintain and improve software systems

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer, preferably from a regulated industry
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and software delivery best practices
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD tooling and best practices
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to stay effective in high pressure situations
  • Strong understanding of distributed system architecture
  • Strong scripting ability with Python or other common scripting languages
  • Familiarity with React is a bonus
  • Admin level experience with the following technologies:
    • Atlassian suite - Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket/Bamboo
    • Cloud platforms, preferably AWS and GCP
    • Containerization and orchestration platforms - Docker & Kubernetes
    • APM tools - DataDog, Splunk Observability Cloud, New Relic, App Dynamics, etc.
    • Log aggregation platforms - ELK or Splunk.
    • IaaC with Terraform
    • Configuration management - Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
