JOB SUMMARY: 

The SharePoint Developer will assist with the design, development, implementation, administration, maintenance and support of the Firm’s multiple SharePoint environments and migration to SP Online. 

JOB RELATIONSHIPS: 

This is a professional position, which will report directly to the IS Manager of Application Development.  The scope of responsibilities is firm-wide, and the incumbent will be in frequent contact with the SharePoint Architect and other members of the Programming Group.  Some contact with other managers and directors in all offices is likely.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities:

SharePoint Development (80% of Work load; Approx):

  • Develop custom solutions including but not limited to SPFx, Angular, jQuery, JSON, PowerShell, SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, Microsoft Visual Studio and SOAP/Rest APIs.
  • Development – Knowledge of how to write custom features that can be deployed on-prem as farm features or deployed as solutions to SharePoint Online;
  • Understanding of Client Script Object Model (CSOM), CSS, and good; knowledge of C# language in the .net framework;
  • Experience with SharePoint templates (site templates, list templates, master page customization) as well features deployment including event receivers, timer jobs.
  • Experience with SQL Server 2012-2019 required;

SharePoint Administration (20% of Work load; Approx):

  • Assist with the daily checks and maintenance of SharePoint environment health.
  • Work with current development standards to maintain and implement UI designs and modifications
    • Assist with SharePoint user training and documentation
    • Assist with testing and implementation of the Windows Security patches, SharePoint service packs, cumulative updates and version upgrade.
  • As-needed troubleshooting of SharePoint environment problems.
  • Assist with tracking storage utilization and planning for necessary hardware upgrades to support the environment.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate third party SharePoint tools and web parts and provide resourceful recommendations.
  • Regular research and reporting on SharePoint trends and best practices.
  • Collaborate with fellow developers and IT department staff in the design, development, and support of firm applications.
  • Assist on any application development projects and Information Systems projects as necessary.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education: 

  • BA or BS in Computer Science
  • Relevant MS certifications for SharePoint are a plus.

Experience: 

  • 5 years development and administration experience with Microsoft SharePoint platform and technologies covering SharePoint 2016
  • Minimum 2 years’ proven technical experience with SharePoint Online including
    • PowerShell using SharePoint and PnP Modules
    • SharePoint Framework with Angular
    • PowerApps
    • Power Automate
    • Power BI
    • Sharegate
    • Azure DevOps (Desirable)
  • Migration experience from SP on-prem to SP Online is a strong plus.

Job Specific Skills:

  • Extensive SharePoint Knowledge (On-Prem 2016+, and Office 365) (Farm Administration, Search Administration, Office Online Services, Site Collection Administration, Site Administration and Diagnostics / Troubleshooting)
  • Experience in Migration process from SP 2016/SharePoint Online using tools like Share Gate
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint technologies 2016/Online Development in SPFx using Angular.
  • Strong knowledge of PowerApps and Power Automate.
  • Experience on Azure DevOps capabilities for continuous integration and development for SP solutions.
  • Experience working with modern API Platforms such as REST, SOAP JSO & XML.
  • InfoPath and SharePoint Designer workflows.
  • Familiarity with IntApp Integration Builder tool is a plus.
  • Familiarity with legal market vertical applications such as Elite 3E and iManage is a plus.

The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
