We are growing quickly and are looking for a Product Manager to assist our development teams in a variety of projects based in Victoria, BC. As a service-based company, our clients own the true vision for their product, but the FreshWorks Product Manager will be the client's partner in crime as they work hand-in-hand to turn that vision into a reality in the form of a custom web or mobile application. 
The Product Manager will wear many hats in their role which could include leading client discovery sessions, writing user stories, Jira tickets and technical documentation, assisting in Agile ceremonies like daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, backlog grooming meetings and retrospectives led by the Project Manager.

As a Product Manager, you play a large role in formulating the technology road map, including identifying and proposing technology solutions and ideas. You are comfortable spotting technical constraints and discussing them in detail with the client which is why your background in software development, whether educational or through hands-on coding, comes in handy in this role. You're a triple threat in the tech world; you're deeply technical, write both formally (for documentation purposes) and casually (for client check-ins) with ease, and shine when commanding a room's attention during requirements gathering sessions or client presentations.

  • Analyze business problems of our clients and help formulate technology roadmap through discovery sessions;
  • Identify and propose technology solutions viable to the business case;
  • Conduct meetings/facilitated workshops to elicit both functional and technical requirements;
  • Analyze and decompose complex business requirements;
  • Spot technical constraints to the proposed solutions;
  • Prepare user stories, software requirement documents, and other required functional specifications;
  • Document processes and make recommendations for improvement;
  • Manage a knowledge management plan to ensure project knowledge is transitioned to operational resources.


Need to Haves
  • 3+ years of overall professional experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Project Manager or Business Analyst;
  • Experience leading requirements gathering sessions with clients, creating documentation and initiating processes;
  • A tech background and/or understanding/experience in SDLC;
  • Experience working in an Agile environment;
  • Legal working status in Canada, please note that we do not have resources to sponsor work permits.

Nice to Haves
  • Experience in some area of development, preferably web and/or mobile;
  • Experience working on projects within the public sector;
  • Experience with Jira;
  • Understanding of the RFP procurement process.
