Overview

The Director of Solutions Delivery position plans direct and coordinated activities to implement strategic Department and IT initiatives successfully. This position will ensure that department goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. This role will create presentations and communication to key stakeholders regarding scope, project plans, progress, KPIs, and dashboards. They will manage cross-functional status updates to manage Risk, Dependencies, and timelines.  This role evaluates corporate departments' operations and provides managerial reporting, project management governance, and process improvement. Also, as part of this role, the Director will coordinate Organizational Change Management and oversee Change and Release Management along with facilitating training efforts as needed.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Defines best practices for full life cycle project and program management
  • Develops and owns the Technology Roadmap for the company and ensures that it is aligned with business and department strategies, goals, and timelines
  • Owns project management for all new projects and all change life cycle activities
  • Works with the IT Vice President to define a steering committee model for prioritizing intake requests from across the company
  • Works closely with Vendors to deliver off-the-shelf solutions and align their efforts to our best practices
  • Works with Vice President IT to develop, refine and manage the IT vision
  • Defines the Project and Program management life cycle and details an agile engagement model to work with all areas of the business
  • Partners with key stakeholders to lead the creation of the overall Strategic Plan for IT aligned with business goals and priorities
  • Defines the governance model for the project management life cycle from Strategy to Deployment

Required Qualifications:

  • 10 plus years of experience required
  • Advanced knowledge of computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, smartphones, and networking equipment
  • Vendor management experience to deliver SaaS and COTS solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project and Program Management Experience working with in-house development teams and Vendor solutions
  • Experience with a Google Workspace environment
  • Extensive application support experience with ERP platforms, Manufacturing Solutions, Google Apps, and other Business applications
  • Possess working to advanced knowledge of Business Analysis
  • Requirements gathering, Business Requirements capture and documentation, Process flows, Possessing working to advanced knowledge of Digital Transformation and pertinent projects must be self-driven and able to work with little or no supervision
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, high sense of responsibility
  • Ability to execute ideas, learn and be involved in the business Ability to work within ambiguity and competing priorities
