Reporting to the Sr. Director, Business Development and as a key member of the Business Development team, you will work closely with your team members and other FreshBookers to ensure the growth and development of our key partner platform. You will be the face of FreshBooks as we execute new channel programs with some of our key finserv partners. As our subject matter expert in financial services you will lead relations and growth strategies with our payment gateway, credit card issuers and potential banking partners.  

What you'll do:

  • Build and execute growth strategies with existing payment processing partners.
  • Work with processing partners to expand our contributed revenue.
  • Evaluate, negotiate and expand our current payment options.
  • Develop new partnerships that will expand our expertise, reach and product options.
  • Develop business cases for proposed channels in conjunction with Strategy and Product teams strategic vision.
  • Sell partnership and commercial terms into target partnerships. Close deals.
  • Sell growth opportunities internally. Gain commitment from various internal groups including:  executive, prod dev, marketing, support, finance. 
  • Manages monthly reporting metrics to ensure partnerships are performing to optimal levels
  • Maintains regular communication with the FreshBooks Senior Management team in regards to partnership development and performance
  • Mentors Business Development Representatives and Managers in skill and relationship development
  • Meets or exceeds defined KPIs for each partnership. KPI’s may include some of the following:
    - Revenue Contribution
    - Trials and Referrals
    - Integrations
    - New partners signed
  • Identifies and qualifies new business opportunities to enable FreshBooks growth.
  • Develops growth opportunities with existing partners. Growth opportunities could include new revenue streams, new product offerings, or new distribution channels. 

What you have:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in building and executing growth strategies with existing payment processing partners. (FinServe a must)
  • Work with processing partners to expand our revshare contributions. 
  • Experience developing new partnerships that will expand our expertise, reach and product options.
  • Evaluate, negotiate and expand our current payment options.
  • Sell partnership and commercial terms into target partnerships.  Close deals
  • High level of accountability seeing projects from beginning to end and beyond.
  • Excellent relationship communication and relationship building skills
