The Opportunity

Reporting into the Senior Manager, Talent Management, you will be responsible for delivering on FreshBooks’ Four Es – Executing Extraordinary Experiences Everyday for both our employees and the business, by developing and executing HR talent programs that enable the achievement of high performing teams, grounded in our values.

What you will do:

  • Assess, develop, design, implement and measure, scalable, best - in - class and sustainable talent programs, processes and tools.
  • Deliver talent solutions that drive strong company and individual performance to achieve FreshBooks OKRs in a way that is reflective of our culture, values and mission
  • Manage, administer and optimize existing systems specific to Talent programs (E.g. Culture Amp engagement surveys, performance management programs, reporting, analysis and executive reviews)
  • Design and develop Talent Program dashboards, with data and insights to enhance business leader and HR team decision making; produces and contributes to reports for presentation to the Senior Management.
  • Lead enterprise wide change management plans for Talent programs and processes.
  • Apply an intentional DIBs (Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging) lens on all talent programs and approaches
  • Deliver input and feedback on program / policy design to the Senior Manager, Talent Management and HR teams, and drive program execution & implementation
  • Provide consultative support regarding talent programs to the business through the HR Business Partners; develop and recommend specific action steps to drive the benefits and desired outcomes of Talent programs.
  • Collaborate both within and outside of HR, particularly regarding cross - functional program/projects to ensure a seamless and holistic experience for clients
  • Partner with COEs and HRBPs  on critical projects that impact employee experience, growth, and retention

What you have:

  • 3 - 5 years of Human Resources experience, with a focus delivering employee and leader talent programs  (talent management, development, Centres of Expertise)  
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
  • G-suite knowledge (Google Docs, Slides, Sheets)
  • Strong knowledge and application of various talent management systems (e.g. Culture Amp, BambooHR, Reflektive etc.) to build and manage Talent programs.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to present confidently to large audiences
  • Strong project and program management skills 
  • High degree of personal and professional integrity with ability to work with confidential information
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively own a program from design through implementation
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work across boundaries, managing multiple stakeholders
  • ability to work within constraints as well as to challenge the status quo
  • Global perspective and the ability to think and plan at scale
  • Nice to have:
    • CHRP designation
