The Sales Operations Manager is a key role within the FreshBooks Sales Organization. The Sales Operation Manager is passionate about accelerating our Sales Team with the tools, data, skills and processes they need to do their best work. The Sales Operations Manager reports to the Sales Operations team and supports the Sales Leadership team in Amsterdam. Moreover, the Sales Operations Manager works closely with his/her North American Sales Operations colleagues and an array of stakeholders from across the business. The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for delivering accurate reports and valuable insights, solving day-to-day issues with the Sales technology stack and Sales process improvement projects.

The Opportunity

There are 3 pillars that the Sales Operations Manager is responsible for:

Analytics and Reporting: 

  • Develop and maintain our core reporting dashboards in Salesforce across Sales Team and Senior Leadership team and adhoc reporting. You don’t need to be a full blown SFDC Architect, but you can create and maintain an array of business dashboards 

  • Assist the Senior Sales Director in the weekly, monthly and quarterly forecast and actual reports together with finance 

  • Manage Sales Team Compensation Plans including bonuses

  • Responsible for preparing reports, presentation and insights around forecast/actuals vs budget, Sales and Marketing lead & opp performance

  • Proactively provide insights from reports analytics on trends to support decision making 

  • Responsible for capturing Product Feature Suggestions by the Sales team as well as  learnings from lost opportunities

Technical: 

  • Manage Amsterdam Salesforce Service Desk to ensure the sales engine operates smoothly and efficiently. This entails to effectively diagnose and solve issues surrounding the Sales technology stack: Salesforce, SalesLoft, RingDNA, Calendly, Drift, LinkedIn Navigator. You’ll solve most of the issues yourself and obtain technical assistance from your North American colleagues when needed.

  • Ability to compile and interpret large data sets from disparate sources

Project management:

  • Provide project support on business improvement projects

  • Present analysis and findings to business audiences such as Sales Team, Sales Leadership, as well as more tech savvy  audiences such as Sales / Marketing / Data Operations colleagues 

  • Manage the timelines and expectations of stakeholders by communicating progress and updates on projects.

  • Gather best practices from the North American Sales (Operations) team as well as externally.

  • Ability to streamline/simplify existing processes; proactively seek out ways to break down barriers, improve sales processes, remove obstacles and accelerate sales

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree, Business, Commerce, Finance or other related field or equivalent work experience 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as Sales Operations Manager

  • Tech-savvy, experience working with tools as Salesforce, SalesLoft or Outreach

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google sheets

  • Strong internal customer service  & communication skills, excellent collaborator and team player

  • Basic understanding of Software-as-a Service (SAAS) business model 

  • Highly organized with strong time management skills and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment 

  • Proven track record of managing projects and tasks and meeting deadlines.

  • Results-driven, collaborative team player and ability to execute on multiple tasks and projects with minimal direction

 

Beneficial

  • Experience with advanced analytics tools such as Tableau / Looker / Power BI / Oracle / Cognos. 

  • Project Management Methodologies experience 

  • Business Analyst Certification - IIBA or equivalent

  • Basic statistics knowledge

  • Basic understanding of Sales Methods such as Challenger Sale
