This operating model gives us an edge traditional media companies simply can't match; and we create much of the most compelling and authentic content on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube & LinkedIn across all our markets.We are currently looking for a London-based Copywriter & Content Creator to join our Cross-Country Editorial Content team. Our Copywriter & Content Creator will write copy for Freeda's editorial content and work together with the rest of the team to bring creative concepts to life across different social formats and platforms.
What you'll do:
  • Write copy for captions and scripts (graphics, carousels, memes, Tweets, photos, new formats), helping define and maintain a consistent Freeda tone of voice
  • Work closely with members of other teams (Creative, Production, Graphic) to develop creative concepts/messaging and plan shootings for content that reflect Freeda's values and tone of voice
  • Participate directly in shootings and appear in content on occasion
  • Produce content that touches on topics related to Freeda's mission, ensuring information shared is accurate, balanced, and communicated in a way that reflects Freeda's values of inclusion and empathy
  • Proofread content and scripts to ensure that high editorial standards are met
  • Collaborate with other members of the Editorial Content team to develop copy for video content (videos, Reels, Stories)
  • Work with the Creative Lead to develop and test new formats in line with Freeda's editorial strategy and tone of voice (e.g,. graphic carousels)
  • Stay current on trends and competitors to help drive innovation and relevance of Freeda's editorial content
What we're looking for:
  • Hands-on experience creating engaging content and copy for various social media platforms
  • A deep understanding of the creative, digital, content and tech landscape, especially with regards to social media
  • Strong research skills and a solid understanding of digital journalism and SEO
  • Excellent communication skills, including written English
  • Knowledge of contemporary culture
  • Ability to prioritise workloads, ensuring all projects are delivered on time
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, being able to quickly establish effective relationships at all levels
  • Excellent attention to detail
