The Platform Partnerships team works with some of the largest, most innovative companies in the world. Our tech and content power experiences on Samsung, Twitter, Uber, Microsoft, Capital One and 100k other apps and services. Foursquare is the de facto location layer for the mobile internet. You will be a key member of the team the team that makes this happen.
About the role:
Foursquare seeks an experienced business development or enterprise sales leader to manage and grow its New York City-based Platform Partnerships team. This individual will be the ultimate player-coach, responsible for growing and managing a small team (2-5) of business development professionals while also contributing individually towards revenue and audience goals.
7+ years experience
Experience directly managing and growing a team.
Able to achieve individual and team goals and help direct reports reach their potential given complicated deals with long sales cycles.
Skilled listener and communicator.
Able to effectively communicate with prospects, clients, employees, and peers
Proven ability to close new business as a trusted partner with tech forward, mobile focused businesses and coach others on doing the same
Detail oriented and at home in Salesforce for forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
Facile with API, Data and SDK-based business models where Product leadership is the buyer.
Comfortable with a vertical-focused approach rather than strictly geographical ownership and distributed teams.

Ability to travel - 25%
BA required, MBA preferred
