SEO Specialist:

Founder Shield is looking for a rockstar SEO Specialist to take our organic search presence to the next level. Since its inception Founder Shield has understood the value of content marketing and why it’s a foundational component of our success to date. We have ambitious goals and we’re looking for a dedicated SEO specialist to take ownership of the channel.

The ideal candidate will not only be proficient in the latest and greatest techniques and strategies, but will also have the ability to think strategically about projects and play a role in putting together integrated campaigns blending organic search, PPC, display, and sponsored content.

This role is cross-functional, collaborating closely with the new business team, customer success team, external contractors, agencies, and tech department, to analyze and implement data-driven recommendations to improve outcomes for Founder Shield.

What you’ll be doing:

Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, the SEO Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing Founder Shield and AlphaRoot’s SEO strategies.

Responsibilities Include:

In this role, you will work closely with our content team, PR agency, and developers in creating and optimizing content for Founder Shield and AlphaRoot. You will be responsible for increasing our organic traffic by identifying keyword opportunities and creating SEO content outlines and strategies for our content team to execute.

  • Set clear SEO goals, KPIs, and requirements to define and measure what success looks like.
  • Keyword research and identifying high-value content opportunities
  • Development and implementation of link building strategies
  • Conduct content gap and competitor analysis
  • Participate in content brainstorming sessions
  • Scale and improve existing workflows and processes, with a focus on automation and efficiency
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and algorithms changes to inform SEO strategies and tactics, and identify new growth opportunities
  • Hire and manage contractors to rapidly scale optimization efforts

About you:

You are exceptional at prioritizing work, setting expectations, and communicating with stakeholders. You are a strategic thinker, connecting the dots between data and financial results to create and advocate for your own strategies to drive growth. You will not operate in a silo and will be part of a marketing team with shared goals and projects.

  • 3 years+ experience in an SEO role - either in-house or at an agency, with a proven track record of aligning SEO and content marketing with business results.
  • SEO strategies you have developed & executed have been the primary driver of growth within the business or client.
  • You have strong analytical skills and are comfortable using data to guide your decision making
  • Any eye for user experience and CRO is a plus
  • You have deep knowledge in all aspects of SEO from content strategies to technical audits
  • Hands-on experience with platforms such as Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Ahrefs, and Salesforce is a plus
  • Bonus if you can demonstrate clear growth outcomes from any vertical or market category-focused SEO strategies
  • You have strong knowledge of HTML, Javascript, tag management, and CSS
  • Experience with WordPress CMS, and schema markup
  • You have experience working with PPC, social media, content management, and web conversion and landing page optimization
  • Bonus: Experience in a startup or high-growth environment or interest in the venture capital process and community
