Responsibilities:
Maintain applications, servers, networks, and remote access - at both campus and co-location facilities
Administer cloud-based productivity tools
Interact directly with employees to provision and resolve access and usage issues
Implement corporate security policies
Required background:
At least 5 yrs of systems administration experience or equivalent
Computer Science Degree or equivalent
Basic scripting and automation experience
Understanding of security reasoning and security concepts, including VPNs, certificates, and best practices
Understanding of network connectivity concepts, including IP address allocation, tunneling, L2/L3, firewalls, IDS, and proxies
Experience solving full-stack IT problems, regardless of their source
Experience working with users with a wide range of technical skills
Experience with cloud services: Slack, Zoom, etc.
Experience with setting up and operating:
VMware and AWS
GSuite, Office 365
SSO identity systems
File servers and NAS
Physical servers
Databases
Backup and disaster recovery systems
Nice-to-have:
Experience configuring IP address allocation, tunneling, L2/L3, firewalls, IDS, proxy, etc.
