The Fortitude Re People and Culture team is looking for a dynamic, strategic, results driven Human Resources professional to join our innovative, fast-paced, and dynamic team. This AVP, People Partner reports to the SVP, People and Culture Officer and plays a pivotal role in partnering with our talented leaders to drive our people strategy forward. The People Partner role is both strategic and hands-on serving as consultative partner to senior leaders and their respective management teams on all people related matters, providing full employee life cycle support with the goal of aligning best people practices to business strategies.  You will have the opportunity to shape and execute People initiatives that align with our overall business goals, fostering an environment where our employees can thrive and exceed expectations.  This role will be aligned to our Nashville, TN office on a hybrid basis. 

What You Will Do:

  • Be a trusted advisor and partner to senior leaders, providing strategic guidance on people-related matters, including organizational design, compensation planning, employee retention, employee relations, management coaching, performance management and change management.
  • Develop, tailor and implement people strategies that align with our business organizational objectives, enhancing employee engagement, retention, and overall performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement talent management initiatives, including talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging and succession planning.
  • Drive the implementation of effective change management strategies, ensuring seamless transitions and a positive employee experience.
  • Analyze People metrics and data to identify trends, develop insights, and recommend proactive solutions to optimize organizational effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, bringing fresh ideas and innovative approaches to the table.
  • Coach and mentor People & Culture team members, fostering their growth and development.
  • Provide guidance to management teams for coaching, counseling, career development, and corrective actions.
  • Act as point-of-contact for guidance on compensation actions, including promotions, and related actions. Identify business case for position or job group compensation changes, and incentive compensation changes.
  • Act as resource to employees when needed, providing guidance on and interpreting company policy as well as assuring that employee perspectives are heard and considered.
  • Collaborate with the managers and fellow team members in promoting, sustaining, and strengthening the Fortitude Re culture.

What You Will Have:

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on strategic HR business partnering.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and executing strategic people initiatives.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand complex organizational dynamics.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management, organizational development, and talent management.
  • Ability to think strategically while also being hands-on and detail oriented.
  • A passion for designing processes and practices that create a positive employee experience.
  • Proficient in using data to drive decisions, story tell, and influence.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint and Excel

The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.

$125,000$160,000 USD
