This position reports to the VP of Engineering and will be a member of the corporate engineering team. The successful candidate will have an impactful role in supporting the operational needs of Fortera’s demonstration plant. The internship will provide experience and first-hand insight of the challenges and rewards of designing/building/operating a first-of-its-kind scaled up process.
The role will be primarily located in San Jose, CA with opportunities to travel to the plant site in Redding, CA.
Use AutoCAD Lt. to update BFDs, PFDs, and P&IDs
Review technical specifications, audit, and source parts as needed for the demonstration plant in Redding, CA
Assist Engineering/Operations team with editing/updating technical documents including, but not limited to, SOPs, Design Basis, PHAs, etc.
Investigate alternative dewatering and drying technologies
3+ years of study in Chemical Engineering
Willingness to travel to Redding, CA
Class C driver’s license and insurance
Eagerness to learn
Willingness to work in a team
A “can-do” attitude
The hourly range for this internship is $25.00 - $30.00.
