POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Analytical Technician will assist the R&D Team in analyzing production runs and customer materials such as cement, shales, and limestones.  This individual will conduct laboratory tests in various fields of chemistry and material characterization to assist scientists in the implementation of quality control and maintenance protocols.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage material and chemical testing equipment.
  • Conduct chemical experiments, general lab work, and equipment management.
  • Ability to gather and analyze a significant amount of data.
  • Follow established laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
  • SOP creation, implementation, and training of employees.
  • Inventory consumables.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness.
  • Conduct safety inspections.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or high school diploma with equivalent experience
  • 1+ years’ experience working in a laboratory environment with industrial experience preferred over academic work.
  • Ability to perform tests in a consistent and repeatable fashion.
  • Eagerness to learn.
  • Willingness to work in a team.
  • A “can-do” attitude

COMPENSATION:

The hourly range for this job is $22.00 - $25.00, commensurate with experience.
