About the role:

This position will be responsible for supporting procurement activities at Forter. Reporting into the Director, Procurement and Sourcing, the Procurement Analyst will review data for purchase orders for procurement of goods, supplies, services and contracts across all departments.

The Procurement Analyst will primarily work closely with Accounts Payable and Legal to smoothly integrate with the invoicing, contracting and purchase order processes.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support Intake-to-pay (I2P) workflows for goods and services as part of a centralized procurement team using solutions like Ziphq, Netsuite
  • Provide guidance and support Forter employees as needed. Work with team members to review and process their purchase requests, place approved purchase orders with external vendors, engage externally to ensure an order's status is known, and confirm goods receipts when needed
  • Update our internal databases with new prospective suppliers, vendors, contacts, contracts, credit accounts, and other information to inform sourcing decisions
  • Work in partnership with the Accounting team on resolving any missed or late payments and addresses any root cause in our processes
  • Reassign PO's for departed employees and recode PO's for GL acct / dept / project code changes.
  • The Procurement Analyst will work closely with Accounts Payable, FP&A, Security and Legal to resolve any issues and smoothly integrate requests with the invoicing, contracting and purchase order processes.
  • Support team members on their early engagements with new vendors by ensuring the preferred contracts, namely NDAs, are executed and archived
  • Review and ensure that contract information in our procurement system is complete and accurate before routing for signatures. Maintain correctness of all commercial documents and business information
  • Support new vendor enrollment workflows and the establishment of credit accounts
  • Assist with the implementation of new systems or tools to be managed by the Procurement Department (Procure to Pay, Expense, Travel etc.).  Once implemented, will co-own and be an administrator.  
  • Train new users on process and systems
  • Maintains a high level of quality and compliance with regards to all aspects of purchasing
  • Provides excellent customer service response and timely response to internal and external customers

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years' experience working in a procurement, supply chain, administrative or financial operations position
  • Proven ability to establish priorities, work independently, and execute objectives without supervision
  • Strong collaboration, negotiation, and technical skills
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel), Google Slides and Sheets
  • Detail-oriented and completes work in a thorough and timely manner. Ability to prioritize, make rapid decisions and adjust to changing needs and timelines
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and longer-term projects while communicating progress and issues encountered
  • Familiarity with web-based software tools as well as purchasing and accounting systems
  • Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical with strong problem-solving skills 
  • Netsuite and Zip experience strongly preferred
