About us:

Digital commerce is built on trust. At every point along the eCommerce journey, businesses must make a critical decision: Can I trust this customer? Answering this simple question accurately and instantly is powerful—it can accelerate revenue growth and strengthen a company’s connection with its customers. How do we do it? Forter was founded on the insight that it's not about what is being purchased, nor where— but who is behind the interaction.

The Forter Decision Engine finds patterns across more than one billion identities in our dataset. We isolate fraudsters and protect customers—ensuring everyone gets the experience they deserve.  Given that trust is central to how we operate, Forter is very much driven by a defined set of values. We attract remarkable talent and have retention and engagement levels that are well above benchmarks. We’re meticulous about strengthening our culture as we grow and ensuring this is an environment where people can have outsized impact.

About the role:

Forter’s flagship product—Trusted Conversions—fights fraudsters (by reducing payment fraud) and delights good customers (by eliminating false declines and approving more transactions). This offering has critical differences v. in-market alternatives that rely on outdated rules or manual reviews to score transactions. Instead, Forter applies machine learning against its Identity Graph to pinpoint the identity behind a given interaction and deliver a decision about whether to accept or reject the transaction in milliseconds. Strengthening our positioning as the market leader is central to our company’s success.

Our newest product, Smart Claims, is an add-on to Trusted Conversions and it’s an intelligent chargeback recovery solution. Because of our deep understanding of online identities, Smart Claims is able to very accurately recommend which claims to dispute and provide compelling evidence all in a single dashboard to streamline operations for our customers.

The Senior Product Marketing Manager would own launches, messaging, positioning, enablement, and more for both Trusted Conversions and Smart Claims.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Launch new capabilities and add-ons that enhance Trusted Conversions value proposition to customers—you’ll own the launch plan, soup to nuts.
  • Position Trusted Conversions and differentiate it from in-market alternatives—you’ll create the necessary collateral to carry key messages beyond our four walls.
  • Enable Forter salespeople to fully internalize our value proposition and reinforce it with a library of success stories from our fanatical customers.
  • Influence the product roadmap as the voice of the customer back into the product and marketing organizations. You will shape how the roadmap is communicated externally.
  • Collaborate like crazy. If you’re going to succeed at the above four bullets, it’s because you’ve formed strong relationships with our Product Management, Sales, Solution Consultant, Customer Success and other teams. You’ll be a trusted expert that engages directly with partners, prospects and customers.

What you’ll need:

  • Writing skills. They are prized around here. Once you’ve internalized our products and differentiation, you don’t want to take dependencies to create collateral. You’re comfortable picking up the pen / clacking away on a keyboard.
  • Keen ear. The best marketers are the best listeners, and in this role you need to seek to understand what different partners care about and consider how we can activate them on our behalf. We’ll want to know how you distill complex topics and relationships down to key insights.
  • Presentation skills. We can always work on this one together … but expect that by owning enablement for Forter salespeople and partner salespeople, you’re going to be in front of the room (physical or virtual) often.
  • Product-orientation. Note that this is a role in product marketing, and there is a technical aspect that requires you to deeply understand our platform. We expect that at the 90-day mark, you’ll be comfortable giving a Spielberg-esque demo of our product in action.
  • Orchestration. Any product marketer that owns a launch process has to be confident orchestrating stakeholders and workstreams and sticking to deadlines.
  • Domain experience. While not absolutely necessary, your ramp will be a whole lot shorter if you’ve spent considerable time in digital commerce, identity, security and/or fintech.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor required by law to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. Identifying yourself as an individual with a disability is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer will be maintained confidentially and not be seen by selecting officials or anyone else involved in making personnel decisions. Completing the form will not negatively impact you in any way, regardless of whether you have self-identified in the past. For more information about this form or the equal employment obligations of federal contractors under Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
