About the role:

Forter is looking for a highly motivated Manager to join its Financial Planning & Analysis (“FP&A”) team. The Manager will report directly to the Director of FP&A and focus on Corporate Planning and Reporting. 

The Manager’s key day-to-day activities will include building the annual budget, maintaining up-to-date forecasts, owning the long-range plan, and delivering insightful monthly management reporting. The Manager will also undertake ad hoc financial analyses related to corporate initiatives.

An ideal candidate is a self-starter who can execute deliverables independently and an analytical thinker who thrives on problem solving and financial modeling. Additionally, we’re looking for a team member that is collaborative and maintains a positive and professional attitude as this role will interact with senior management across the organization. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build the annual budget, which will require strong collaboration with Department Leaders and Financial Ops 
  • Build and maintain an up-to-date revenue forecast
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual budget to actuals reporting and variance analysis
  • Prepare board financial reporting packages and presentations
  • Collaborate with Financial Ops and HR on company headcount planning
  • Analyze financial performance and identify trends, opportunities, and risks to inform leadership 
  • Partner with the accounting team to ensure data integrity and accuracy in the forecasting process
  • Proactively identify and recommend opportunities for improvements in financial and operational processes
  • As needed, provide support to other finance teams such as Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Accounting, Treasury and Procurement

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4-6 years professional experience, ideally with prior experiences in corporate FP&A as well as investment banking, equity research, or related field
  • Expert in building fully dynamic three-statement financial models
  • Ability to think critically about a business and understand the key value drivers 
  • Ability to communicate key takeaways to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner 
  • Experience working with and analyzing large data sets to inform decision making
  • Ability to think creatively about existing operational challenges and work cross-functionally improve existing processes
  • Master in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in Netsuite, Salesforce, and Qliksense a plus, but not required
  • Prior experience in a start-up environment preferred
  • Proactive and self-driven, with a strong sense of ownership
  • Strong attention to detail and dedication to quality of analyses and deliverables
  • Collaborative, positive attitude and eagerness to learn
