About the role:

We are looking for a Billing Analyst to support our billing process, analyze and monitor our systems of record respective to customer transactions and the related revenue to be billed. This analyst will work with teams on a global basis, largely based in the United States and Israel. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Sales and Sales Operations, Product, Legal and Finance in the coordination, accounting, billing and review of revenue transactions. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Own the manual calculation of customer invoices for some services, custom incentives/ penalties or billing models for certain contracts and provide calculations for billing. 
  • Develop scripts for manual calculations of metrics/incentives not supported by the billing system and work with cross-functional teams to automate these calculations over time.
  • Work with the product and billings team (amongst others) to identify areas of the billing system that need to be updated in order to support pricing mechanics in existing contracts, as well as support the ability to adjust to potential future billing models. 
  • Manage the investigation process when an issue with a customer invoice is detected, and drive identification of a route cause, suggest mitigations, calculate impact and identify appropriate remediation (ex. refund or additional charge)  
  • Work with Sales, Sales Operations and Finance to ensure that the current limitations of the billing system are understood by all, and that customer contracts in the sales pipeline with billing models inconsistent with the limitations of the billing system are identified and resolved where appropriate. 
  • Manage the intake and remediation of billing issues “tickets” raised by our merchants towards resolution evidenced by a prompt payment, customer satisfaction and identification of a root cause to be addressed by the company.  
  • Play a lead role in monitoring the integrity of billing operations, including the development of relevant dashboards to help identify, monitor and address issues prior to the issuance of an invoice to a customer.  

What you'll need:

  • 2-3 years of experience working with data flows, system integrations and information systems.  
  • Expert in analyzing complex data flows across multiple systems
  • Expert in SQL and in working with data warehouses (Snowflake, Mysql)
  • Prefer strong experience with querying in Elastic Search 
  • Mid-level knowledge of Python 
  • Experience in building dashboards/monitors, defining alerts and thresholds within Qlik
  • Experience in performing data fixes
