About Forta

Forta is the first decentralized community-based security platform to prevent or mitigate smart contract exploits as they occur. Incubated by OpenZeppelin, the leader in blockchain security since 2015.

The goal of Forta is to detect threats and other system critical issues in real time. By providing users with timely and useful information about the security and stability of their systems, they have an opportunity to react and take defensive action, preventing or minimizing the losses and other issues.

About this role

The Ecosystem role at the Foundation is directly tied to helping the Foundation achieve its mission, which is to steward the continued development of Forta by facilitating the collective action of its decentralized community of developers, participants and users.

What you’ll be doing

  • Help grow the Forta ecosystem and consumption of Forta alert data by building beneficial relationships with L1/L2 communities, developer and end user tools, the security community and beyond 
  • Develop a community building grant strategy that focuses on Forta’s core demographic of Web 3 projects, integrators and other participants, and takes into account Forta’s platform that enables a marketplace of security-related products and services built on top of the Network
  • Identify creative opportunities to:
    Improve the user experience for Forta node runners, bot developers, and users
    Drive alerts subscriptions and consumption
    Encourage innovation and development on Forta
  • Lead day-to-day management of community relationships through execution, including enabling a great experience for strategic grant recipients
  • Maintain a strong understanding of trends and security challenges across Web 3
  • Build tools and track grant effectiveness in collaboration with Forta’s core dev teams and marketing teams

Ideally, you have

  • Passion for Web3 and DeFi
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships or strategy roles at a tech, Web 3 or crypto company
  • An ability to think both strategically and tactically
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • A “self-starter” mindset who works well independently and in small teams
  • Superb organization and project management skills. Ability to work on and manage multiple complex projects with multiple stakeholders, at once.
