Formidable is a Seattle-based, remote-first digital product consultancy building brilliant web and mobile solutions for our clients using the latest technologies, React, GraphQL, and NodeJS.
We are growing our team and looking for a hybrid developer designer who leans more towards product design and enjoys producing production-grade code and user-centric design. We are in search of a mid-level design-technologist to help us realize product vision. You will work closely with project managers, engineers as well as the design team to meticulously deliver ideas into production
You're a great fit if you have:
--2-4 years of relevant work experience designing and developing consumer and/or enterprise applications.
--Expert knowledge of industry-standard design tools such as Sketch, Figma, and Abstract

You will be responsible for:
- Acting as a bridge between design and development, with an understanding of both technical specificities as well as design rigor.
- Development of UI components.
- Helping set and defend best practice design standards across web and mobile patterns to ensure the user is at the core of everything we do.
- Collaborating with the team on project objectives, client requirements, content strategy, process flows, and user interfaces for multiple client projects
- Bringing and implementing the newest in web design trends and emerging practices to make sure Formidable is always at the forefront.
- Working with the development team to ensure the designs are accurately implemented
- Communicating the benefits of technical solutions to non-technical project stakeholders effectively
- Development in the creation of novel visualizations and develop new techniques for improving the interactivity of the application
Qualifications:
- Strong design and UX experience with proven ability to deliver great experiences –this is also a hands-on coding role and the right candidate will spend time designing the interface as well as building it.
- 2+ years of experience building modular JavaScript single-page applications with ReactJS
- Ability to translate and create wireframes, mockups, and visual design assets into engaging and user-friendly web experiences using CSS, HTML, and JavaScript.
- Well versed in technologies like React, Javascript, Typescript, and techniques for creating great UI architecture and engineering
- Breadth and depth across 2 of these 3 categories: product thinking, interaction design, and visual design.
- Highly organized, strong attention to detail, excellent verbal, and written communication skills.
