The Senior Accountant is crucial to the success of our organization and requires someone who enjoys a challenge, loves to learn, and wants to be part of a collaborative team. The right person for this role is highly detailed, results-driven, and has a solid understanding of advanced accounting principles, accounting systems, analytical functions, internal controls, and monthly close processes. In addition, a proficiency in Excel is required, including pivot tables, financial analysis, and payroll. In this role you will help drive growth initiatives for the firm and enjoy a dynamic, inclusive environment.
 
This is a full-time position which will start out as a work-from-home role initially. Once we are able to safely return to in-person working offices we will work to provide a nearby regional office for you to access, though working from the office has never been mandatory. (Sorry, no relocation assistance is available.)

Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of the general ledger, reconciliation of accounts, bank deposits, audits, and special projects
  • Multi-entity, multi-currency financial statement consolidations
  • Accounting operations including Invoicing, A/R, A/P, GL, and Revenue Recognition
  • Propose and perform process for increasingly greater organization of financial processes as the company scales
  • Payroll and PTO accounting
  • State and local tax payment calculations and processing
  • Manage the month-end accounting close, ensuring accurate and timely results that are in accordance with US GAAP requirements
  • Review and analyze internal financial data to identify issues, opportunities and trends to provide business owners with financial analysis input that will support decision making

You have:

  • 5-10+ years of accounting experience
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Excel
  • Experience with payroll provider systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business
  • Experience in a consulting firm, professional services organization, or technology company
  • Strong communication and organizational skills as well as strong attention to detail
  • Someone who enjoys working in a growing organization and growing with the organization
