The Technical Product Manager role is an important part of Ping Identity’s worldwide go to market strategy for our products.  You will report to the Director of Product Management for PingOne Administration.  You will contribute to and implement the product strategy by leading planning activities, creating detailed requirements, coordinating backlogs and have ownership over the roadmap. 

You will be a close partner with engineering and act as the voice of the customer and the business for engineering. You will have insight into all phases of the product development cycle. You will provide key leadership for engineering, design and UX/UI, and architecture to manage the product offering and its deliverables, as well as interfacing key stakeholders such as customer support, solution architecture, and professional services. 

You will:

  • With the Director of Product Management, maintain a multi-quarter technical product roadmap that includes milestones and prioritized deliverables, and influence and implement the product strategy for the PingOne Platform.
  • Gather customer, prospect and technology partner input to understand customer scenarios and technical requirements and act as technical expert on customer use cases.
  • Provide detailed input into the product planning process and priority of features for communication to engineering.
  • Develop detailed technical requirements and work closely with engineering feature and component teams during elaboration to ensure customer requirements are being met.
  • Work with engineering, design, documentation and user acceptance testing teams to create a complete and polished product offering.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Architecture teams on monitoring technology and industry innovations.
  • Perform market analysis, identifying industry trends, strategic needs and market competition.
  • Work with subject-matter experts to build, test, and improve orchestration flows for common use cases and markets.

You have:

  • 3+ years of work experience in cloud computing in a product management, solution architecture or engineering role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, design, operations, OR equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management, identity and authentication use cases, standards and technology.
  • A history of managing product development lifecycles to consistently deliver high-quality releases.
  • Experience working with enterprise software sales teams.
  • Comfort in discussing product capabilities and market relevance to end-users, partners, C-suite, engineers, analysts.
  • The ability to gather and prioritize market data to maintain a product roadmap.

  • You have a structured and data-driven approach to tracking business progress ensuring follow up, understanding and action.
  • Able to synthesize technical information into crisp recommendations and present and defend recommendations to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong project/program management leadership including scope, schedule, budget, quality, communications.
  • Able to create effective relationships, influence and collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levels.
  • Proven strength solving technical problems by driving cross-team collaboration, ownership, and accountability.
  • You have a strong background in delivering cross product user experiences
