Who we’re looking for:

An enthusiastic, dedicated, independent and highly motivated mental health provider and leader who wants to be part of a growing, collaborative team. The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the clinical facilities operations, strategic direction, and growth initiatives. The incumbent plays a critical role in shaping the company's mission, vision, and values while ensuring the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services to our clients. The Executive Director leads a team of Executive Clinical Directors (ECDs) in executing exceptional quality care across multiple facilities. The Executive Director will also work closely with corporate leadership and function as a liaison to clinical staff.

This position is a full-time, hybrid position, overseeing multiple facilities across the region and reports to the Chief Clinical Officer.

What you’ll be doing:

Administrative Oversight & Leadership

  • Responsible for the supervision and oversight of the ECDs to ensure exceptional quality of care and a seamless experience for our clients.
  • Communicate the vision and mission of the organization to inspire and motivate your team to deliver on company goals.
  • Communicate needs and priorities of regional clinical team to internal stakeholders and share progress with clinical team.
  • Implement and support company roll-outs of clinical processes and procedures while working collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders across the company, including ensuring implementation of evidence-based programming.
  • Optimize clinic workflows and processes to enhance productivity and client satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the finance team and senior leadership.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgetary goals and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings to improve financial sustainability.
  • Ensure accurate billing, coding, and reimbursement processes are in place to maximize revenue.

Compliance

  • Responsible for ensuring all team members maintain active, valid, and unrestricted licensure as required by state, federal, and licensing authorities.
  • Ensure all team members are trained and well-versed in both Forge Health’s P&P manual as it relates to compliance and in their assigned accrediting agency’s reporting requirements.
  • Ensure all facilities prepare for and meet the annual accrediting agency reporting requirements and are prepared for a federal, state, or accrediting agency inspection at all times.
  • Participate in regular clinical compliance meetings with clinical leadership, including quarterly and annual all hands meetings, to ensure facilities and programs are meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with relevant laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and contractual requirements related to clinical services.
  • Collaborate with legal and regulatory affairs teams to address compliance issues and mitigate risks.
  • Implement corrective action plans to address deficiencies identified through audits and inspections.

On Call Coverage

  • Ensure implementation of team member coverage contingency plans for unforeseen emergency situations.
  • The Executive Director must be available for on call rotation, including nights and weekends.

Human Resources

  • Recruit, hire, train, and retain qualified staff to support clinic operations.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to clinic directors and other key personnel.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning among staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff to support their professional growth.
    • Manage and ensure accuracy of time off requests for ECDs under your supervision.
    • Responsible for the coordination, supervision, and monitoring of human resources activities as periodically requested by the Human Resources Department.
    • Ensure ECDs and subsequent team’s personnel files are complete and compliant.

Strategy, Community Engagement, and Partnership

  • Identify market trends, opportunities, and threats to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of marketing and outreach plans to be executed.
  • Responsible for periodically coordinating and executing marketing and outreach preparation training activities to ensure the marketing and outreach programs are efficiently and effectively executed.
  • Responsible for periodic gathering and organizing critical data and feedback for stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with community organizations, referral sources, and stakeholders.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities.
  • Advocate for policies and initiatives that promote mental health awareness and access to care.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Facilitate a small caseload of traditional intensive outpatient program and outpatient program services for substance use disorder, mental health conditions, and co-occurring conditions, including individual and family therapy, as well as case management for a caseload of individual client services.
  • Responsible for assessing client for substance abuse and mental health needs using DSM criteria.
  • Complete initial assessments for clients, as well as assessing for appropriate level of care.
  • Obtain and review records relevant to the current treatment episode, and contact relevant referral sources, family or outside systems as needed.
  • Prepare (as needed) and maintain treatment plan and necessary revisions, in conjunction with the case manager.
  • Document all counseling services in clinical records.
  • Complete relevant state-required work for clients on your caseload.
  • Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team assigned to the client and participate in case management meetings.

Qualifications: 

  • A master's or doctoral degree in a relevant field is required, such as psychology, counseling, social work, or psychiatric nursing.
  • Unrestricted independent license as a (Licensed Mental Health Professional LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Psy.D., PH.D.), with additional certifications or specialized training such as EMDR or DBT is a plus.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience working in the field of adult alcohol/drug abuse treatment or related social services delivery field.
  • Experience with reporting methods and analysis of population health outcomes. 
  • Minimum 5 years supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • Experience with workforce management, evaluating staffing capacity, and development.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing a department budget
  • Proven track record of strategic planning, financial management, and operational oversight.
