The Role:

Forge’s software engineering team is passionate about innovation and building scalable solutions that drive liquidity and growth in the private market. Our teams are leveraging a broad range of new technologies and are well-versed in delivering high quality, innovative solutions. We thrive on moving fast, delivering value, and living our values of being bold, humble and accountable. 

We are seeking passionate engineers with at least 4 years of experience delivering innovative software solutions that are scalable, secure, and easy to maintain. The ideal candidate thrives in team settings, enjoys pair programming, and focuses on delivering value.   

We are a full stack shop and our primary web applications are React + Ruby on Rails + Node.js/Typescript.  


  • Design, implement, and maintain data-driven web applications.   
  • Mentor members of the development team on internal and external frameworks, software development best practices, and new technologies. 
  • Be able to gather requirements and plan actionable tasks for the team. 
  • Collaborate with Forge’s product, design, information security and business team members. 
  • Design, build and maintain automated unit and integration tests. 
  • Develop concise, articulate and detailed documentation 
  • Support healthy system operations and ensure high levels of availability are achieved. Be part of the on-call rotation during business hours. 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent years of working experience in the field. 
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience.  
  • Experience developing with Ruby on Rails, or Node.js/Typescript 
  • Experience developing multi-tier web applications using modern techniques. 
  • Proven track-record of teamwork and delivery 
  • Must be open to a hybrid work environment from our Seattle, Denver, and Portland offices post COVID restrictions
  • Experience developing in React is a plus
  • Experience with Event-Driven architectures a big plus 
  • Fintech or Financial services industry experience is a plus
  • Experience with multiple programming languages 
  • Experience mentoring junior software engineers
  • Experience at high-growth, venture-backed startups
  • Working knowledge of the private market
  • Working knowledge of financial regulators and their concerns
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time in an office setting or in home office setting while working

COLORADO ONLY: Minimum salary of $157,500/year. Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Long Term and Short Term Disability and 401(k) Plan. The position is remote, based in Denver, CO.
