The Role:

As our organization and customer base have rapidly grown, the quantity and complexity of data has accelerated. Finding new and optimal ways of leveraging this data empowers our organization to make better decisions and gain insights into key performance indicators.  

To fully unlock the power of our data we are seeking a staff or principal analyst who will develop analyses, dashboards and metrics to empower decision makers across the organization and drive requirements for the data platform. 

We are looking for strong analytical leaders to create a data-informed culture where insights power the next phase of growth. The areas that you will span across include, but are not limited to: 

  • Customer Acquisition & Retention Analytics aka Growth Analytics 
  • Product Analytics 
  • Operational & Strategic Analytics 

Responsibilities:

  • Define and evangelize key business metrics, dashboards & analyses and operationalize them to drive meaningful impact
  • Become a subject-matter expert on key drivers of our business. Learn what questions to ask in addition to answering important ones
  • Partner with data engineering to build out a high-quality data platform 
  • Partner with product teams to improve instrumentation 

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in an analyst role
  • You have hands-on and deep experience building dashboards, reports and operationalizing them 
  • You are proficient in SQL and at least one major Business Intelligence tool (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc.) 
  • You have an eye for detail. You catch & resolve data quality issues before others do
  • You build strong relationships with engineers, product and business stakeholders to create a high-performing team culture 
  • You are independent and prioritize well. You can break down broad, amorphous business questions into clear reports and analyses
  • You communicate clearly and are comfortable presenting to diverse audiences (execs, marketing, product, sales, engineering, etc.) 
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time in an office setting or home office setting while working

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Acquisition marketing, customer experience, product analytics, experimentation experience is highly desired 
  • Statistics knowledge is a plus 
  • Experience working at a startup or small company
