We are looking to hire a Sales Development Manager to drive our team of Sales Development Reps towards achieving pipeline goals. You will be directly responsible for hiring, training, coaching, and motivating the team, while also being a mentor to facilitate their career progression. You will work closely with other senior leaders across a variety of departments including Sales, Marketing, and Operations. You will own the strategy and execution of programs, initiatives & processes that will drive the attainment of our SDR teams’ revenue goals while keeping Forethoughts company culture & employee experience philosophy at top of mind.
What You'll Be Doing (Responsibilities):
- Hire, train, develop and manage a team of sales development representatives
- Coach sales reps towards a career as an account executive in under two years
- Train reps to prospect, cold call, handle objections, qualify deals & schedule discovery calls for the Forethought sales team
- Collaborate with marketing to drive new business through demand generation
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
Who You Are (Skills):
- 1+ years of sales team lead/management experience, preferably in a rapid-growth environment
- 3+ years of IC and/or Management-level software sales experience
- Strong skills and ability to train, coach and motivate sales teams
- Passion for developing talent and coaching a team to success while building an energetic environment where people love to come to work every day
- Strong writing and public speaking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to professionally interact with a diverse blend of personalities to reach a resolution and maintain strong relationships
- Ability to work cross-functionally with sales management, sales operations, marketing and more
- Proven track record of delivering on aggressive sales pipeline targets
- Experience building sales programs and initiatives that increase moral and drive revenue growth
- Experience in leveraging CRM software, preferably Salesforce, to manage high performing teams
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
