Forbes is looking for an organized and energetic SEO Intern to join the SEO team remotely. The position, reporting into the Director of SEO, will work collaboratively with our SEO Team on a variety of projects to help grow our audience. As an SEO intern, you will learn the foundations of Search Engine Optimization and put that knowledge into practice, with guidance from members of the SEO team.
Responsibilities:
- Pull data to analyze traffic patterns and create robust reports that help inform content strategy
- Perform keyword research to identify and prioritize which stories and topics our editors and contributors should cover/update to meet our readers’ needs in the key moments of their Journey.
- Internal linking optimization.
- Identify opportunities to keep content fresh and relevant, highlight problematic elements that potentially harm performance (e.g broken links in content)
- Other projects and tasks as assigned
The ideal candidate:
- In pursuit of an undergraduate degree in a related field (i.e. Marketing, Journalism, Web Development)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and a desire to work on challenging projects
- Experience with search engines, internet usage, and general online navigation
- Proficiency with Google Workspace: Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet
- Well organized with a good eye for detail
- Team player with all-hands-on-deck attitude and an entrepreneurial mind-set.
- Comfort in working independently
About Our Summer Intern Program
- Our internships are paid.
- This internship is approximately 40 hours/week Monday-Friday.
- The internship program begins in mid-June ends mid-August
- Interns are invited to weekly presentations to hear from leaders within the organization.
The hourly rate for this role is $21.00 - $21.00
