Forbes is seeking an enthusiastic Product Owner to join our Product Team, reporting to the Director of Product. You will work closely with our product managers, delivery teams and stakeholders to lead delivery of product features and initiatives.  To be effective, you will collaborate closely with design, engineering and QA to ensure delivery to estimates or deadlines with full transparency of dependencies, risks and priorities.  Collectively, you will play a central role throughout the product life cycle and be a real driving force to delivering solutions.

  • Partner closely with Product Managers to shape solutions, define project milestones and user stories for key product features and priorities.
  • Lead project delivery, collaborating with designers, engineering, QA and third-party vendors to build features and enhancements.
  • Craft product requirements in accordance with business and user needs, clearly communicating those requirements to all stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Lead all team ceremonies in collaborative fashion, including stand ups, planning sessions and retrospectives.  Prioritize work against team capacity, address project blockers and communicate key outputs to product managers and leadership when necessary. 
  • Ensure key product metrics can be tracked and monitored upon project release.
  • Manage and prioritize defect and optimization backlogs, ensuring items are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Build and maintain a robust catalog of help documentation, reference materials and tutorials.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, partners, business and technical teams and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders
  • Keep abreast of the competitive landscape, industry trends, and digital innovation within the marketplace.


  • 1-3 years of product owner or business analyst experience
  • Experience crafting user stories and organizing into sensible product releases.
  • Engineering or design experience a plus
  • Proven track record of making smart trade-offs between feature development versus time-to-market.
  • Passionate about people, organization and driving efficiency.
  • Extensive knowledge of product and software development techniques and agile methodologies.
  • Passion for rapid iterations - problem identification, solution hypothesis, beta test, assess, repeat.
  • Working experience with desktop/mobile analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Looker a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (technical or analytical field a plus)
