We are excited to welcome an Associate to our dynamic Commercial Property team, with opportunities available at any of our Southwest office locations. This role offers an excellent chance to tackle a variety of tasks and enhance your expertise with developers, investors, and corporates. We are seeking individuals with 2-5 years PQE who are keen to advance their careers. If you have experience in various commercial property transactions and are eager to broaden your skills and knowledge, this role is perfect for you.

What you’ll do

In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with Partners John Catchpole and Mark Li, as well as our dedicated team, to provide expert advice on strategic Commercial Property transactions. You will be at the forefront of significant infrastructure projects, managing a diverse portfolio that includes both national and international work. Our clients range from developers and entrepreneurs to investors, offering you the opportunity to build strong relationships and deliver hands-on, practical advice. Offering unparalleled exposure to large-scale development and infrastructure projects, corporate real estate, and complex corporate transactions. You will handle a variety of tasks, manage your own caseload, and work with a wide array of high-quality clients. Join us and contribute to projects that shape the future. Embrace the chance to work on exciting, nationally significant infrastructure projects and advance your career in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be personally motivated to continue developing your skills with clients, seeking to understand the commercial context of their business, and gaining confidence to provide relevant advice at the right moment. With your ability to forge lasting relationships with clients, you will be keen to create opportunities to build your profile and engage in various business development opportunities within the developer sector. You will possess strong communication and rapport-building skills, with the resilience to work under pressure by organising yourself effectively to meet deadlines. Being tenacious, thorough, and attentive to detail while appreciating the ‘bigger picture’ for your clients, you take pride in the high standards of your work.

In return for your dedication and focus, we offer genuine opportunities to fast-track your career, allowing you to contribute to the ongoing growth and development of our Commercial Property practice. Career advancement is based entirely on merit and under your control. Additionally, the quality of work you will access is not limited by location; if you are the best fit for the client, you will work with them.

Our offer to you

In return for your efforts, you can expect considerable scope for personal, as well as professional, development. We encourage people to engage with our popular and well supported coaching and mentoring programmes, which connect you to people right across the firm and at every level. We create space for mental and physical wellbeing with our weekly Lifestyle Hour, along with 28 days’ annual leave (plus a day in your birthday month), private medical insurance (eligibility applies) and a sabbatical you can take every 5 years. You can also buy holiday, managing your benefits flexibly using our sophisticated portal to configure your total reward offer according to what you value most. As part of this, you can make ongoing or one-off donations to our charitable foundation and access our CSR programme where you can engage with community-based initiatives (as a team, or individually) twice a year, to give something back where you feel it matters.
