About the role 

As a Sales and Commercial Planning Manager, you will be at the heart of our business operations, driving the alignment and execution of our commercial strategy across various functions. Reporting directly to the Team Lead Sales and Commercial Planning, you will lead the forecasting process, ensuring a reliable and consistent projection for your market and channels by collaborating with sales, finance, supply chain, and product marketing teams. Your role will encompass coordinating the annual budget planning, managing commercial planning processes, and translating commercial activities into actionable operational plans. You will monitor business performance, identify deviations from targets, and play an active role in strategy discussions to bridge performance gaps. Additionally, you will ensure new product launches are seamlessly integrated into demand planning, oversee the Sales & Operations Planning process, and provide data-driven insights through robust reporting and analytics.

What can you expect to work on? 

  • Forecast Management: Serve as the key contact for coordinating between sales, finance, supply chain, product marketing, and other demand-related functions to generate a consistent and reliable forecast for your specific market and channel. 
  • Budget Planning: Collaborate with finance, sales, and product marketing during the annual budget planning process to ensure alignment and accuracy in projections. 
  • Commercial Coordination: Work with functional leaders to organize and manage commercial planning processes, focusing on meeting commercial objectives and delivering results. 
  • Operational Briefing: Translate commercial activities into operational requirements and brief top management to ensure alignment on plans and methodologies. 
  • Performance Monitoring: Track business performance, identify and explain deviations from targets, and be active part in the commercial strategy discussions to bridge performance gaps. 
  • Product Launch Integration: Ensure new product launches are integrated into demand planning, coordinating with relevant teams to maintain accuracy in forecasts. 
  • Sales & Operations Planning: Take ownership of the Sales & Operations Planning process, including preparation of periodic reviews for the Board on company performance. 
  • Reporting & Analytics: Define reporting and analytics requirements to monitor business performance and provide data-driven insights to leadership. 
  • Digitalization & Automation: Identify and pursue opportunities to digitalize and automate the sales planning process, aiming to enhance efficiency and accuracy through advanced planning tools. 

 

What you bring: 

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience within commercial functions in the food, lifestyle, or consumer packaged goods industries. 
  • Proven track record of accurately forecasting sales and managing demand planning processes. 
  • Ability to analyze business performance, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations. 
  • Experience working with diverse teams across sales, finance, supply chain, product marketing, and other business functions. 
  • Capability to translate commercial strategies into operational plans and coordinate effectively with senior management. 
  • Understanding of market trends, customer behavior, and business dynamics, allowing you to make informed decisions that support commercial objectives. 
  • Ability to lead and coordinate complex processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks. 
  • Ability to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop innovative solutions. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to various stakeholders. 
  • Comfort with technology and willingness to explore digitalization and automation tools to streamline processes. 
  • Willingness to collaborate, support colleagues, and contribute to a positive team environment. 
  • You have excellent written and spoken communication in English.
