The Private Brands and Kitchens team of foodpanda is looking for a Regional Category Manager (APAC) to look after the end-to-end development and execution of a category of brands within its growing portfolio.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Category Strategy: Develop frameworks and guidelines to define the competition set, pricing strategy and positioning for the brands within the portfolio liaising with marketing, culinary, supply and ops teams across region and country.
  • Brand Calendar Development: Work with Culinary, Operations, Marketing & Supply to develop and execute a Brand calendar for Menu updates, Brand Promotion and Communication.
  • Menu Excellence: Research and development of Menus for various brands within the category and own the metric of Menu Conversion (Menu to Order). Continuously develop brands in the portfolio to have best in class conversion through right selection of items, right imagery/description and engagement.
  • Expansion: Work with country teams across APAC to plan and execute outlet expansion (through franchising) plans across the region.
  • Topline goals: The category manager also owns the goal of achieving topline (Orders, Average Food Value, Revenue).
  • New Brand Development: Continuous primary and secondary research to develop new brands within the category.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Business, Marketing, or STEM disciplines from top universities.
  • Approx. 5-10 years’ working experience in Retail/Marketing roles with broad exposure to marketing, supply chain, and business development, within a Retailer (supermarkets, e-commerce, retail brands) or within large restaurant chains.
  • F&B experience or regional APAC exposure will be an added advantage.
  • Deep interest and passion for cooking and food experiences is a must!
  • Ability to function effectively in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
