We are looking for an experienced Head of Business Development-Dark Stores to lead our journey into expanding into new businesses. This is a high-visibility role and the right person will require a strong entrepreneurial drive, experience managing a team and the ability to scale the business fast. You will set ambitious targets and build a high-performing organization to achieve strong growth.

 

What's on your menu?

 

  • Ownership of P&L for a new business: drive top line revenues while optimizing bottom line expenses
  • Recruit, on-board and coach a high-performing team to achieve ambitious targets
  • Plan and manage a successful launch, ensuring all aspects of the launch are well executed
  • Drive the Commercial team to actively reach out to key suppliers, negotiate great deals and maintain a strong, ongoing relationship
  • Drive the Operational team to ensure speed, efficiency and scalability of Ops processes
  • Balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Keep a close eye on commercial, operational and financial KPIs; step in when certain metrics need improvement
  • Liaise closely with regional teams and with other countries to understand best practices and tailor it to local needs

 

What do you bring to the table?

 

  • Master’s Degree with at least 8+ years of experience.
  • Prior experience in starting a business from scratch and managing a P&L is a strong asset
  • General Management experience - understanding the basics of all functions, especially operations and commercials
  • Very high level of ownership and entrepreneurial drive
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment
  • Stakeholder Management - work with local & regional leadership to align on priorities and highlight bottlenecks
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Outstanding communication and people skills
  • Prior experience in FMCG/Groceries not a must, but highly preferred
