Flight Itinerary (About The Role)

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the QA team members. In this role you will work closely with other product teams to ensure our software products meet the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include effective leadership, developing testing strategies, and implementing best practices in QA processes.

What Your Journey Will Look Like (Responsibilities)

  • Lead a scrum team of QA Engineers, QA Analysts, Test Architects.
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard new QA team members.
  • Foster the technical expertise of your team around testing, quality, scalability, software performance, and reliability, on a modern software stack.
  • Directly support reports in their career growth by 1:1 meetings, goal setting, feedback, and reviews. Provide mentorship and training to develop talents.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes and tools to enhance product quality.
  • Implement test automation strategies to increase test coverage and reduce manual testing efforts.
  • Monitor and report on key quality metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Coordinate with engineering, product and program management, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on quality objectives.
  • Support timely and high quality delivery of features for product releases in the context of a larger product development organization. 

What To Pack For This Trip (Qualifications)

  • Degree and successful industry experience in either Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, test automation or software development of SaaS products with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Deep understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including both manual and automated testing.
  • Strong experience with test automation frameworks and tools for exploratory testing, end to end testing,  API testing, contract testing, performance testing, UI testing (e.g., Pact, Playwright, Postman, K6).
  • Experience in hiring, onboarding and developing talent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid English skills.

Optional Carry-On (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Strong experience with performance and security testing.
  • Domain expertise in the aviation area.
