Flight Itinerary (About The Role)

We are looking for a thought leader to drive the roadmap of FLYR’s Offer and Order UI - our platform to enable airlines to use the NDC standard, an important part of transforming the way air products are retailed to corporations, leisure and business travelers.

As a Technical Product Owner, you would work with FLYR leadership, Product Managers, individual Product Owners and airline experts to define the scope and capabilities of the Offer and Order UI Platform. The aim at FLYR is to provide an industry leader with the tools to create and distribute relevant offers to customers, regardless of the distribution channel.

You will be a part of a product group working on preparing requirements that solve customer needs,  understanding internal and external dependencies, and making sure that we deploy the best solution for both our airlines and Travelers. You will work with your dedicated engineering team to bring these new capabilities to life. 

What Your Journey Will Look Like (Responsibilities)

  • Work with our engineering team, customer representatives and Product Management to understand product value, define product requirements, internal and external dependencies
  • Identify pain-points and new opportunities to improve Offer and Order UI platform 
  • Define product specifications and detailed use cases with a strong emphasize on the MVP vs “nice to have”
  • Closely work with the UI / UX team and guide designers to deliver the right scope and value
  • Communicate to the development team and test engineers product requirements
  • Participate in the Team’s refinement and estimation sessions
  • Develop and execute a product development plan (month/sprint basis) to deliver continuous upgrades and value
  • Validate and accept development outcomes, participate in UAT process with Customers

What To Pack For This Trip (Qualifications)

  • 3+ years experience building software UI products in roles like Product Owner, Business Analyst or similar
  • Experience working with UI / UX designers is a must
  • Experience with product lifecycle methodologies from idea to launch
  • Practical knowledge in managing JIRA, Confluence, dependency management
  • Experience building airline-related products is a plus
  • Strong communicator with experience collaborating across multiple teams (both technical and non-technical) and management
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with exceptional time management skills
  • Ability to problem solve quickly and generate flexible solutions
