Flight Itinerary (About The Role)

As the Product Manager for the order management System, you will lead the strategy, development, and ongoing management of our order management product. You will play a key role in shaping how the product is structured, designed, integrated, and leveraged across the industry, ensuring it aligns with our business objectives. You will help in developing a modern, scalable order management system to replace legacy passenger service systems across the airline industry.

What Your Journey Will Look Like (Responsibilities)

  • Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for FLYR's Order Management product; ensuring alignment with the organization's data and business goals. 
  • Product Ownership: Assume full ownership of the Order Management product and associated integrations, including design, development, and ongoing enhancement. Own the roadmap, prioritize feature development, and coordinate across teams to achieve product adoption amongst the industry.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, design, sales, and customer success teams to deliver an industry-leading product incorporating customer requirements and industry direction.
  • Organizational Development: Leverage experience and insights to help build the product organization in breadth and depth.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between technical teams, business stakeholders, and customers; effectively translating business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa.

What To Pack For This Trip (Qualifications)

  • Successful inception and rollout of large-scale products
  • A minimum of 6 years in product management, preferably in airline technology or adjacent sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree in pertinent arenas (e.g. Business, Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Proficiency in airline industry data, distribution, and passenger service system (PSS) concepts
  • Stellar communicative prowess paired with outstanding leadership attributes, capacitating efficient cross-functional interaction. Skilled in deconstructing challenges and achieving mutual comprehension across diverse audiences.
  • Acumen to judiciously balance concurrent requisites from an array of stakeholders

Optional Carry-On (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Direct experience with modern airline retailing technologies and standards
  • Direct experience with airline revenue accounting, revenue management, revenue integrity, and/or airline distribution
  • Analytical acumen
  • Domain expertise in enterprise software or aviation areas
